I believe the best use of this form is: placed on a page, not a post, nor on the sidebar. It doesn't make sense to edit the template file(s) unless you want a handy template for a page that will include the contact form in the future. I edited the templates.html.php to do that, but it didn't take. I have emailed the developer to see if he can shed some light on this.
